History
The Getaway was opened in 2012 and replaced the Dallimore Project, Kirk Hallam which opened at Stanton Vale School 2001 (office based at Heanor Library). The county council described The Getaway as providing a stimulating and exciting experience for 10 to 18-year-olds, it has six bedrooms with en-suite facilities and specialist equipment to ensure young people have a safe and enjoyable stay.
Units: At Stanton Vale units: Heather, Willow and Fern.
Clientele: Short break and shared care for disabled children and young people age 10-18 years.
