History
Castle Gresley Parish Council was established under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1894. It helped to provide local public amenities and services such as street lighting, recreation grounds, footpaths and public seating, as well as liaise with other local authorities over proposals or issues that might concern the area. By the Derbyshire Review Order, 1934, part of Castle Gresley was transferred to Church Gresley, and part of Church Gresley added to Castle Gresley
