History
This institution was founded in 1893 as Heanor Technical College, then rebuilt in 1910-1912 as the Heanor Secondary Technical School, a name later changed to Heanor Secondary School. It became a Grammar School in 1944. It was finally amalgamated with South East Derbyshire College in the 1970s.
