JOHN RADFORD (1746-1834)
Parents: John Radford of Stanley Hall and Rachel Hieron of Little Eaton, married Derby St Alkmund, 1741. Rachel was the daughter of Martha and John Hieron. Martha was the sister of Elizabeth Richardson (d 1763).
Wife: Theophilia Vaughan (1753-1822), married 1776
Children: 12, including:

- Alexander (1780-1852)
- Samuel Richardson (1782-1871)
- Thomas (1783-1872), in 1829 married Isabella Wilson, heiress of Carnfield Hall
- Edward (1788-1872)
- Henry (1791-1883), later of Atherstone, Warwickshire
Biography: moved to Smalley Hall in 1784 following his appointment as High Sheriff of Derbyshire

Wife: Mary Elizabeth Hurt (d 1912), married 1855
Lived at Darley Dale
Childers and Mary did not have any children. The Radford estates was primarily inherited by the children of Anna Eliza Thompson, nee Radford.
