History
The original Derbyshire General Infirmary was built by voluntary contributions, at Bradshaw Hay, Derby in 1804. The first patients were admitted in 1810. The new infirmary based at London Road was built in 1891 and opened in 1894, when it became the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary.
