Biography
The Bourne family were potters at Belper from at least 1772 (see SC1 1/1) until some point in the 19th cent (see D2916/SC1/1/5/1 where pot works are still associated with the Bourne family in 1834). Members of this family founded a pottery at Denby, later to be known as Joseph Bourne and Son, then Joseph Bourne Limited and part of Coloroll Tableware Limited.
