History
HMS Leander was a 50-gun spar-decked frigate, launched in November 1813. After seeing service in North America and in the Second Barbary War, she became Sir David Milne's flagship based at Halifax, Canada in 1817. In 1819 she became Rear-Admiral Sir Henry Blackwood's flagship in the East Indies and returned to England in 1822, after which she became a receiving ship in Portsmouth before being broken up in 1830.
