The Bemrose family were established in Derby from 1815 when William Bemrose (1792-1875) moved to the town with his employers, Mozleys, printers. William started his own printing business in Derby in 1826-1827 in which his sons Henry Howe Bemrose (1827-1911) and William Bemrose jr became partners in 1858. This partnership was renewed in 1879.
