| Administrative History | The Whitemoor Centre in Belper was founded as Whitemoor Adult Training Centre (ATC) in c1985 (for building plans, see D2200/C/44/1). It served adults with learning disabilities, helping them develop skills. In 2022, Derbyshire County Council decided to close the centre and transfer provision to the Parkwood Centre in Alfreton. A report considered at the 10 Mar 2022 cabinet meeting said that this was "a more suitable building as it has significantly more facilities for example a cafe, training rooms and an IT suite". |
