Administrative History
This parish was called Old Brampton to distinguish it from New Brampton, an ecclesiastical parish (for records see D2443) created out of Brampton and Chesterfield in 1832 including Holymoorside, Walton and part of Newbold.
Old Brampton included Cutthorpe and Wadshelf, where there was a mission church.
