Letter from William Fanshawe at London to Sir Henry Agard at Foston, Derbyshire

The letter states that William Fanshawe has received directions for the commission Agard will receive and Lord Newburgh will write to Agard about it. William Fanshawe states that Agard may let the forest and mentions the business of his brother Bulloke's daughter and Agard's brother.

This record was donated to Derbyshire Record Office by member of the public in March 2024. The donor bought it in a mixed lot at Keys Auction in Aylsham, Norfolk, in 2023. The letter was part of a mixed collection apparently of a Norfolk dealer called Brewer. It is not known when or how they acquired the letter.
