Administrative History
This committee was set up in 1935 to carry out the council's duties under the 1934 Betting and Lotteries Act; it was then known as the Licensing (Dog Tracks) committee. In 1954, the title changed following a decision to register pool promoters in accordance with section 1 of the 1954 Pool Betting Act.
