Concening letter signed by relatives of Sir John Franklin, comprising Mrs Lucy D. Greaves, Mary Franklin Gell and Dr H. Willingham Gell, following news of a Canadian expedition to be sent to King William Island; a connection of Vancouver with Franklin is made through Mrs C.D. (Hester) Risk nee Kendall, his great grand-niece, throught he marriage of Lieutenant Nicholas Kendall to Mary Anne [Kay], his first wife's niece. The cutting came from Hester Risk.
