Description | The voyage was "undertaken for the purpose of completeing the discovery of that vast country" in 1801-1803 in H.M.S. Investigator, the armed vessel Porpoise and Cumberland Schooner, with an account of shipwreck of the Porpoise, arrival of the Cumberland at Mauritius and imprisonment of the commander during six and a half years on the island. With appendix. 269 pages, with 9 page of title, dedicatees and preface, 9 pages of contents (volumes 1 and 2), and 204 pages of introduction. Size, 67cm x 30cm. Published by G. and W. Nicol, Pall Mall, London. Copy once belonged to Sir John Franklin. |
