Repeat letter sent, registered. Asks whether he ought to ask Mrs Jupp to write telling him she had known the portrait since Sir John had it painted and that he had never sold it. No wish to spend more than the portrait's value, c.£70 or £80. Anxious to attain title for his children, as Sir John Franklin's descendants.
