Title
Proof photograph, supposedly of Eleanor Porden's silver brocade wedding dress and shoes
Date
[c1930]
Description
Underneath the photograph is written: "Eleanor's silver brocade wedding dress and shoes, 6th August 1823". The photograph was to be inserted before page 236.
As the photograph shows a Robe a l'Anglaise gown and shoes in the style of the 1770s, the dress appears to have been misidentified by Edith Lyttelton Gell.
