Deed of Arrangement between Rev. John Philip Gell and others and Lady John Franklin, concerning the relinquishing of claims relating to the estate of the late Sir John Franklin

Description
Between (1) Reverend John Philip Gell, clerk and incumbent of Church of Saint John, Notting Hill, Middlesex, and Eleanor Isablla his wife, (2) Dame Jane Franklin of No. 60 Pall Mall, Middlesex, widow, and (3) Henry Sellwood formerly of Horncastle, then of Greasley, Lincolnshire, esquire.
Lady Jane relinquished claims to sums totalling £7000; the Gells relinquished claims to £1000 worth of stock and the residue of Sir John's personal estate, including manuscripts and books, and all lands at or near Port Philip in Victoria, at Betsey Island on the River Derwent in Van Diemens Land, lands on the Meponga River, South Australia and lands ajoining St Patrick's River and near Launceston, Van Diemens Land.
With recitals of will of Sir John Franklin, 8 Oct 1829, his death without revoking the will, probate granted on Prerogative Court of Canterbury, 11 Jan 1855, daughter Eleanor Isabella being the only heiress at law, the sale of leasehold house of Devonshire Street, and claims of the Gells to lands of Sir John Franklin in Australia.
