Description
Had arrived in town previous evening to find morning papers had announced death of Willingham Franklin (brother) from cholera in May that year, Willingham's widow having been unable to write to the family with the news; blow to the family and reminder to prepare for the after-life, , brothers' obligations towards widows and fatherless children, sisters' prayers, suffering of Willingham's widow Catherine losing her husband in a foreign country, followed by the death of her parent; expecting James to arrive and will send him to Lincolnshire, John Franklin will try to get to Lincolnshire as soon as possible, arrangements for "poor Bell"; Eleanor and Baby are doing well; will write to John Booth; request to write the sad news to Isabella and Henrietta
