Title | Letter from John Linnell Bond to Eleanor Anne Porden, enclosing a few lines and referring to the birth of a daughter to Eleanor's sister |
Date | 11 Feb [1808] |
Description | Enclosing a few lines on subject she proposed the last time they met, although he belives them deficient in the expected wit and humour; he will be dining at Berners Street next Sunday, but asks whether he wants him to transcribe for her before then; congratulates her on becoming an aunt; asks to be told how the mother and young lady are doing and also how Mr Kay looks since he has become a father. Dated only 11 Feb, but the context of the birth of the Kays' first child [Mary Anne] makes the year 1808. |
