Comprising pages of diary entries of John Philip Gell for the last days of Eleanor's life and day of her death, 9 Aug, 22-30 Aug 1860, and for a number of days in the period after, 1-5, 7-12, 22, 29-30 Sep 1860, 4 Oct 1860, 25 Dec 1860 and-12 Feb 1861 (4/7/1, 40 pages): list seemingly of recipients of letters writtten by Gell (4/7/2, file of 18 pages): printed copies of draft inscription on Eleanor's grave at Tredunnoc, with tracings designs for grave, correspondence, including comments of of JN Simpkinson, and 2 sketches of Tredunnoc Church, Oct 1860-Feb 1861 (4/7/3, 21 items): copy of condolence letter sent to Gell by the parishioners of St John's, Notting Hill (4/7/4): note on the absence of "three pilgrims" Eleanor Wiseman, Mary F Gill and Henry Wiseman at Tredunnoc, late 19th cent (4/7/5): and assorted notes on religious texts, draft letter by Gell and letter by EF Sandy to Mrs Gell from the Post Office, Grassmere, Westmoreland, asking her opinion of his Lectures as she is about to go on her "Welsh retreat", 14 July (4/7/6, 7 items)
