Description | Gratified at Eleanor's note thanking her for gift to her little girl; remembers Gell at the age his children were then and at all stages of childhood, including his old haunts at Rugby; she has been at Spondon where her niece, Mrs William Cox, read a most feeling letter from Miss Nightingale to one of their servants, whose son had died of fever at Scutari, whose Miss N. and her nurse had attended, administering port wine and arrow root medicine and having a chaplain attendance, which letter was a reassurance to the parents |
