Administrative History
Philip Gell (1783-1870) was the son of Philip Gell and his wife Elizabeth (nee Wrigh). He was the father of several children, including John Philip (1816-1898), who married Eleanor Isabella Franklin in 1849, Elizabeth (1817-1900) and Frederick Gell (1820-1902).
