Transcript or Index | Quorn April 19 1858 My dear Mama, Eleanor wrote the other day and said that we wrote to you a very bad Latin letter. I hope this will be better. I will tell you a secret if you will not tell. I am going to make a pair of Purple cuffs for one of my sisters. (Tuesday) I have finished them. I hope Alice and Henry are quite well. We play a game at double chess. We are going to Miss Cox on Thursday, to dine with her. When we go to Church we hear such nice Sermons preached by Mr Cheetham My love to all I am My dear Mama your affectionate son John Franklin Gell |
