DescriptionExpecting news of officers' appointments early next month.  Describes work at Woolwich to reinforce the ships.  Appreciates friendship of Mr & Mrs Booth and their assistance with preparation of his clothes: discusses detailed requirements.  Hopes they enjoyed the ball yesterday.  Asks about Tom and sends a message for him.  Rumours of the expedition have appeared in newspapers, so they can now feel free to tell friends of his involvement: mentions Augustus and Mr Hunt.  Asks when Willingham will be married and expresses a hope to meet his wife.
