Description
Contains programmes, photographs, newspaper cuttings regarding the war and events in Buxton, drawings, badges, and handwritten humorous accounts entitled 'Buxton Bedlam Ballards' and 'Pecular fauna discovered in Buxton'.
Many of the photographs depict named British and Canadian soldiers being treated at the Barlow Fold Hospital, Poynton, Cheshire, and the Canadian Speical Red Cross Hospital, Buxton [Buxton Museum], and hospital staff showing the wards and grounds of the hospitals, and family photographs. Includes photographs of baseball being played by Canadian soldiers.
