| Administrative History | The War Road was a collaboration between year 9 students at Glossopdale College in the High Peak of Derbyshire and songwriter and musician Aidan Jolly, with support from and management of the High Peak Community Arts. Over six months Aidan and the students worked together, researching the subject, learning how to interview people, and then turning the interviews into songs. The songs were then recorded at the College and integrated into an hour-long 'radio ballad' style documentary, which weaved together the songs and edited interviews to create an impressionistic account of the experience of warfare, seen from many different view points. |
