Administrative History | Groups of local Women's Institutes aim to act as a link between the county Federation and individual institutes, as well as allowing increased facilities and funds for lectures and other activities.
The first meeting to consider the formation of a new group was held in Chesterfield in October 1948, with representatives from Ashover, Higham and Shirland, Handley and Woolley, Stretton, Tupton and Wingerworth institutes. The Group was suspended in 2017. |
