Here dwelt, They say - and say no more,
An Anchorite in days of yore,
When did he live? and who was he?
What took him from his comrades flee?
Friendless was he? as who his friend?
What were his habits, lifer and end?
Ah! vain and fruitless is the search,
The caverned sock[?] is Anchor Church,
We know no more.
