Administrative HistoryThe National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs of Great Britain was founded by Beatrice Gordon-Holmes on 12 Nov 1938, although internationally its origins can be traced back to 1919 in the United states of America.

The inaugural meeting of the Buxton Business and Professional Women's Club was held on 6 Apr 1949, the first general meeting being held on 26 Apr of the same year. The Club disbanded due to lack of members in 2004, the final meeting being held in January 2004 and the accounts settled thereafter.
Custodial HistoryThese records were donated by the widower of a former President and Secretary in March 2017. Some of the records remain unlisted (see D8076/UL).
