Description
To grandchild Twiggs Pilgrim, a messuage in Wirksworth and the goods therin; Pindle Thorn Close in Wirksworth and a barn appurtenant, all which properties are surrendered into the hands of the lord of the manor to the use of testators last will to grandchild Henry Walmesly, 'my purchased lands' in Kirk Ireton, he paying £20 each to his two brothers, Simon and Samuel, and £50 to testators grandchild, Dinah Pilgrim; to grandchildren Elnathan Pilgrim and Twiggs Pilgrim £10 each; to Henry and Edward Walmsley, £10 each; to Elizabeth Browne, grandchild of testator's daughter Pilgrim, 'ten little pieces of gold which I have in a box', and a silver bowl, to be devided equally; to Lidia Walmesly, relict of Thomas Walmesly, testator's grandchild, 20s; to Annie Eaton, 10s; to all the rest of 'my son Walmsley's servants' living with him (Walmesly) at testator's death, 5s each; to poor of Kirk Ireton, 40s; son Walmesly and grandchild Henry Walmsley to be executor; if he refuses to be executor, then daughter Elizabeth Pilgrim to be executrix, and to inherit the land in Kirk Ireton.
