As at July 2016, it is still open.
History: Originally built c.1860 by Dr Christopher Hall who lived in and ran the doctors surgery from Linden House with his wife, 3 children and 2 servants. Following his death in the 1960's Linden House was sold to Derbyshire County Council becoming a Children's Home in the 60's. Units: No units. Accommodates 5 children and is currently to capacity (February 2016) Clientele: Provides longer-term care. |
