Description | Comprising: D7913/3/3/1983/1: "Outdoor inflatables" - 6 photographs of children playing with inflatables. For a related administrative file including a schedule of events attended by the inflatables in 1983, see D7913/6/8/5/1. D7913/3/3/1983/2: Photographs of children in the early stages of creating a woven wall hanging. Both images are undated but a photograph of the same artwork at a later stage of development may be found in the 1983/1984 Junction 28 Arts Project annual report, which describes it as a giant wall weaving created by children involved in the 1983 summer playscheme during the school holidays. The report (D7913/1/1/1984) says "The weaving was designed to fit a redundant notice board area in the [South Normanton] Community Centre bar area and depicts a sun-set in vibrant red, blue and purple, with dark green pine trees in the foreground. Material for the project was effectively 'scrounged' from local textile firms, by Tim Baker, our Summer Worker". |
