Reciting settlement dated 2, 3 November 1798 (D 779B/T 954-5), that Thomas Hickinbotham the elder died in 1811, that there was no issue of the 2nd marriage of 1. and his 2nd wife Elizabeth is dead, and 1. now is entitled in fee simple to premises below, and witnessing that in consideration of the natural love of 1. for 2. and for 10s paid him by 3., 1. conveyed to 3. messuage, tenement or farm house, close heretofore part of Moor Dyke Close (which contained 6 acres 13p), now called Alderslade Close containing 3 acres, closes called Parsons Flatt, Chalk Pitt and Top Hill, together 22 acres 2r 13p, formerly in the occupation of Thomas Hickinbotham deceased, now of 1. or his undertenant Jacob Smith, to the use of 1. for his life, then to 2. equally
