Leicester, by John Moorley of Aston farmer, and of messuage in Aston in the possession of Jacob James by Joseph Moorley (above) to William Hodgkinson, and witnessing that for £490 paid to Joseph Moorley by Whitmore with Wheeldon's consent, and for 10s. paid to Moorley by Whiston, Moorley conveyed to Whitmore and to Whiston in trust for Whitmore, messuage with brewhouse, coalhouse, stable yard etc. in Aston formerly in the possession of Jacob James, late of widow Pratt, since of William Clifford but now of John Whitmore, now used as a public house and known by the name or sign of the Coach and Horses, and for Wheeldon's having received £100 and interest as repayment of the mortgage, from Moorley and for 5s. paid him by Whitmore and Whiston, he conveyed the residue of the 1,000-year mortgate term to Whitmore and Whiston |
