Description
Reciting that there have been disputes concerning right of common on commons and waste grounds belonging to the towns and called Aston Moor and Shardlow Moor and the inhabitants have therefore agreed that the inhabitants, owners and occupiers of land of Aston town having right of common there shall enjoy to their separate use the common or ground called Aston Moor, the upper end of which adjoins the land of Robert Holden esquire called Sweet Knowles or Caudwell ?Slauk and bounded each side with fields and inclosures belonging to Aston so far as the perambulation bounds or marks of Aston go (their position is described), except that owners, occupiers and inhabitants of land within the towns of Shardlow and Wilne may lodge sheep at night only on Brown Heath Gorse on the Aston side of the perambulation marks, and the inhabitants of Shardlow and Wilne (described as inhabitants of Aston above) having right of common there shall have to their separate use all the common or ground parcel of the aforesaid moors or commons lying on the Shardlow side of the perambulation bounds or marks. Each party renounced claim on other's common. Inhabitants of Aston are not to interrupt the inhabitants of Wilne and Shardlow in the inter-commoning with the town of Aston upon the ?Bleud Common lying on the North side of the Derby road.
