Description
Maria Newbold widow recently of Gresley and John Newbold of the same yeoman had been attached to reply to Richard Hopkins of a plea concerning 50 acres land, 20 acres meadow, 30 acres pasture in Harcoat alias Heathcoat in parish Gresley, which Lady Mary Burdett widow leased to Richard by a lease of 1 January 9 G I [1723] by the names of Wadling Coat, 1e Flatts lying in Gresley Field, le Oak Flatts, le Meadow lying before ('ante') Ostiu' , le Lane lying between ? Domu and Wood called Bunley Wood, le Horse Close, le Sitch Flatts.
Endorsed, examined in the Treasury of the Court of Common Pleas, 7 July 1724.
