Administrative History | This case did not concern the Eyre estates, except in so far as the Claimant claimed a moiety of the Slindon Sussex estate as descendant of one of the two right heiresses of Anthony James, Earl of Newburgh, died 1814. By his will, the Eyres of Hassop were heirs to the estate in remainder, after the death of Anthony James's widow, who outlived all the remaindermen, dying in 1861. |
