Description
Thomas Egerton, keeper of the Great Seal, to Thomas Raynesshawe, mayor of the borough of Chesterfield and Thomas Clarke, clerk of the Queen for taking recognizance of debts, ordering them to take action for a debt of £80, which William Selcocke of Hallowes in the parish of Dronfield owes to Edmund Stevenson of Oneston in the parish of Dronfield, for which he entered into recognisances before Godfrey Heathcote, lately Mayor, on October 9th, 1599, to be paid by St. John Baptist's day following.
