Description
He devises portions for his daughters by Mary, his now wife, with special provision in case all or any of them become nuns. He leaves the £100 annuity issuing out of the manor of Barlow to his eldest son Rowland, for providing for his younger sons Francis, John, William and James. He leaves his plate to his wife, to go eventually to whoever holds Berryhall in Norfolk, which he designs to settle on her eldest son
Codicil of 15th May, 1685, provides a £50 rent charge out of the manor of Edlaston to compensate for tithe and other payments on the lands of Eastwell (co. Leics), which becomes the property of his son Henry. Also to be paid out of the manor of Edlaston £500 to his youngest daughter Helen.
Probate: 10th July, 1688.
