Francis, Lord Cottington, master (of the court of wards and liveries, and Sir Benjamin Rudyerd, Surveyor of the same, to Rowland Eyre, son and heir of Thomas Eyre, esquire, deceased. A special livery of all Eyre's lands whose values have been supplied by him: a covenant allows the lands to be surveyed by the King's order and Eyre is to pay double for any property undervalued. Attached is the Valor of Thos. Eyre's lands at his death, 5th June, 1637, and for which Rouland Eyre petitioned for a special livery. Apart from the Derbyshire property the estates are situated in Staffordshire (Maveson Ridware, Ramstall Ridware, Bromley Regis, Strougsheff (as of the manor of Madeley), Marchington and Hanbury) and Yorkshire (Bawtrey). |
