Showing the several allotments as allotted to each owner or proprietor by commissioners appointed by Act of Parliament, particularly described in their award.

This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
A map of the manor of Litton in the parish of Tideswell in the County of Derby shewing the several allotments as allotted to each owner or proprietor by commissioners appointed by Act of Parliament: particularly described in their award. Dated April 13, 1764. J. Beighton, delint. Surveyor:John Beighton. Scale: of 40 chains [1:9500]. Size: 56 x 42 cm. Materials: coloured ink on parchment. Centred on: SK165752 Notes: compass indicator. As above with parcels of 18 proprietors' land with reference numbers and areas: 115 acres, parcel of Rowland Eyre, distinguished by yellow boundary: at a later date, more 'old inclosures' have been added, lettered for reference, proprietor Thomas Eyre, whose total land, 152 acres, is the sum of these old inclosures and the land allotted to Rowland Eyre in 1764: details as above including mine rakes, one named 'Thorney Slack mine': this map differs slightly from the inclosure award map, e.g. 'Hamerdon Hill' (Hammerton) is marked here: hillside along River Wye, Tideswell Dale, Ravensdale etc. carefully sketched in perspective as an aerial view: rococo cartouche, very fine draftsmanship.
