Description
The freeholders of Hope agree with Thomas Stevenson the elder and widow Spencer:- That the two latter shall hold the parcels of enclosed land at Fullwood Carr of the freeholders (and not of Mr. Eyre of Rowtor, who pretended to let it to them), paying to the freeholders one third of the corn grown on it; they also agree that if any horse, cattle, swine or geese of the freeholders get onto the land it shall not be deemed trespass (unless they shall be wilfully driven thereon), but it shall be lawful for the leasees 'quietly to drive' them from the premises.
