Description | Sir Thomas Coningesby of Hampton Court (co. Hereford), knight, of the first part, Paul Tracy of Stanwey (co. Gloucester), esquire, and Sir Richard Tracy, knight, his son and heir, of the second part, Sir Alexander Brett of Whittstannton (co. Somerset), knight, Sir Robert Brett of St. Martyn's in the Fields (co. Middlesex), knight, Sir Thomas Denton of Hillsden (co. Buckingham), knight, Humphrey Baskervile of Edisley (co. Hereford), esquire, Humphrey Coningesby of Nine Solarse (co. Salop), esquire, and Thomas Coningesby of Hampton Wafer (co. Hereford), esquire, of the third part. In consideration of the marriage had between Sir Richard Tracy, and Anne, daughter of Sir Thomas Coningesby, and of £2,000 dowry for the said Anne, Paul Tracy covenants to convey to Sir Alexander Brett, Sir Robert Brett, Sir Thomas Denton, Humphrey Baskervile, Humphrey Coningesby, and Thomas Coningesby, the manors of Stanwey, Taddington, Didcote, Haffield, and Stanley Ponntlarge (co. Gloucester), and the manor of Calver (co. Derby), of which the manors of Haffield, Stanley Ponntlarge, Didcote, and Calver, and two messuages in Cheapside (London), are to be held to the use of Paul Tracy and Anne, his wife, for their lives as jointure for the said Anne, and then to the use of Sir Richard Tracy and his lawful male heirs, or in defullt of such issue to the lawful male heirs of Paul Tracy, or in default of such issue to the right heirs of the said Paul. |
