Description
John Newton, yeoman, of Bakewell to George Mellor, yeoman, of Hassopp and Nicholas Smythe, husbandman, of Hassopp. A close called Newclose lying in Nortley field containing one acre of land; the Great Pyce containing four acres; a piece of arable in the same field called the Bretche of one and a half acres adjoining the lands of Thomas Eyre; four beast gates or common of pasture for four beasts, winter and summer, in a pasture called Backdale, in Hassop; for £100.
