Copy of the will of Sir Ingrame Clyfforde of Cowthrope

Description
His body to be buried at St. Michael's, Cowthorpe, or at Skipton. He bequeathes to George, Earl of Cumberland, his nephew, all his hawks; to Francis Clyfforde, his nephew, the best horse in his stable at his death; to Myhell Porter, his son in law, an annuity of 4 marks issuing from the moyetye of Gressington, also all his apparell; to all his servants a half year's wage at his decease; £4 to the poor from the rents of Cowthrope. For the regard he has to 'that noble housse wherof I am dissendid, wishing the better contenance', he has granted various estates to the Earl of Cumberland and Francis Clifforde and asks them to allow his wife to take her lawful dues therefrom and assist her to maintain her rights; also asks the earl to take Michael Porter into his service.
The residue of all his goods he leaves to Ursula, his wife, who is named executrix; Sir William Inglebye, William Madyson, his father in law, Richard Franckland and Thomas Jaxon, supervisors.
