Administrative History
Built in 1852, Birdsgrove House is located on the banks of the River Dove at Mayfield, near Ashbourne, and was the home of the Tunnicliffe family. In 1946 the house was taken over by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society to be used as a convalescent home for pharmacists and their families. The home closed in 2005.
