Accession of February 2017:
Treasurer's papers, comprising:
Cash books 1954-1975, 1975-1995, 1995-2008.
Lightweight and Mobile Camping Section income and expenditure book, 1979-2003.
Files of loose balance sheets and income and expenditure accounts, arranged by year, 1975-2009. These papers are interspersed with others including correspondence, auditors' reports, annual reports, treasurer's reports, annual general meeting minutes. Financial information is recorded separately for the Mundesley Camp, the Anglesey camp and the Lightweight section.
VAT file: including correspondence with members of parliament, the Treasury, HM Customs and Excise, relating to the status of the Derbyshire Schools Camping Association (and others like it) with regard to Value Added Tax (VAT).
Risk assessment file: papers relating to the risk-assessment process routinely undertaken by the Association, 2002
Treasurer's file: containing Annual General Meeting minutes of 1968 (printed) including notice of the 1969 AGM, with 1969 Secretary's report from the Lightweight and Mobile Camping Section; Summer programmes 1972 and 1973; Correspondence re building of permanent toilet block at Plas Candryll campsite, 1980s; Constitution as at Dec 1997; Notes by T. C., Ilkeston, Nov 2005, headed "Camp and falling numbers" addressing the question of how best to increase participation; Report on cancellation of camping at Anglesey and Mundesley due to poor weather, 2007; Summary of responses to a questionnaire circulated to members of the association, concerning the association's aims and priorities, 2000s; Letters concerning the winding-up of the Association, June 2010: from Derbyshire County Council, thanking the treasurer for returning the previous year's unused grant, and from the Derbyshire Schools' Sports Association thanking the treasurer for the donation of the Derbyshire Schools Camping Association's remaining funds.
