Description
Attendance records signed each week by James Barlow, schoolmaster, to certify that the boys named and employed in W.G.& J. Strutt’s factory at Belper had attended the mill school for the number of hours and time each day as required by the Factory Act of 1844. Includes a column for school wages [fees] entered at the mill with references to folios in wage books and spinning ledger. Causes of absence are noted.
Labelled 17 on front cover and inside front cover, later labelled O1/222.
