Time register required under the provisions of the Factories Regulation Act 3&4 William IV c103 by HM Inspectors of Factories..
Page 1, introductory page identifies register as for the factory at Bridge Street, for North, South, West, Winding and Reeling Mills.
Page2, list of holidays and half-days given in the factory.
Pages 5-6, declaration on hours of work, 18 Nov 1836, with declaration of change of hours, 5 Nov 1840.
Pages 15-64, lists of names of children under 13 years of age employed in the factory, from page 30 arranged in fourteen classes, A-N. Columns for date, names of children, hours of work, date work is changed, and index of change (including C for reaching age of 13, D for discharge. They are working a rota because their age restricts their hours of labour and the periods of the day they work.
Page 72 onwards, time recovered under sections 3-5 of the Act.
