| Administrative History | The Primitive Methodist church was built about 1908 and the Wesleyan Methodist about 1904. They amalgamated in October 1961 to form the Creswell Methodist Church. The church closed in 2006. |
| Custodial History | These records were donated to Derbyshire Record Office in May 2006 on the closure of the church. The registers were variously donated by the General Register Office in November 2006 and deposited by the Chesterfield Methodist Circuit in Febrary 2019. Further records were deposited by the Methodist Church Sheffield District archivist in October 2022. |
